All the ticket scalpers have plenty of tickets at outrageous prices this morning. Somebody got them. I was using a computer hooked up to the internet via a T1 connection and had the same luck you did. Of the 2 dozen or so people that I know of that were trying to get in, not one of them did. I did hear of one guy trying from home who got in late in the afternoon and he was able to purchase 4 tickets to one game in the rockpile. I haven’t seen the tickets so I don’t know if it is true or not.

Bottom line, thanks to the Rockies, I saved a LOT of money yesterday. My living room and my small screen TV will be just fine — and the beer will be a lot cheaper too.

Go ROCKIES.

Now the Colorado Legal folks are coming out and stating the Rockies never even asked them if they could do a lottery, and that they could have done one legally as long as no one was charged to participate in it… More egg on the faces of the Rockies administrative staff.

That way, you would have known if you could have bought tix and exactly when you could have bought tix.

That’s essentially what the Red Sox did.

The leftovers should have been sold at the box office.

Also, if you’re going to do it exclusively online, you should have limited the first day to Colorado residents–accept only those credit cards with a CO address. Now, we just opened the door right up to Red Sox nation. It’s supposed to be home field advantage. The way the Rox did it, any one in the country had just as good of a shot as guys who live down the street from Coors Field. Not cool from a public relations standpoint.
