Popcorn Kickoff

Tired tonight!  Went to Limon early this morning to attend the High Plains Combined Roundtable and Popcorn Kick Off.  Long drive fro an even longer meeting.  I have intentionally passed on this meeting over the last few years and think I may do so again next year.  I did get a bit of swag though so we’ll see how I feel about this next year.

Went to our friends house for BBQ dinner.  Nothing fancy just hamburgers and hot dogs.  Nice though since I didn’t have to cook.

Feeling a bit under the weather the last couple of days.  We’ll see how the rest of the weekend goes.

McCain Speech

So, did you watch the RNC tonight?  I did… Tonight’s speakers not nearly as “entertaining” as last night, but they were O.K.

I thought John McCain did fairly well.  Not as “lively” as Palin’s was last night, but still good.  We’ll see how these folks do in the debates.

Republican National Convention

First of all: I am not affiliated with affiliated with any political party, and I have NOT “officially” decided on whom I will vote for during the upcoming presidential election.  I think both Democrats and Republicans have good ideas in some areas, but are terribly skewed in others.  I just wish there was a third party that wasn’t so far “left” or “right”.

Now I consider myself as an average Joe, and I don’t have the gift of the magic “pen”, but I wanted to give my opinion.

Now I did watch, or should I say I tried to watch , the Democratic Convention a couple weeks ago.  I just couldn’t get into it. (though I did love Spielberg’s tribute to veteran’s)

So, anyway, tonight I watched night 3 of the Republican Convention, and I must say it was very impressive.  I was impressed with most of the speakers (even the ones that you didn’t see on the major news networks).  Giuliani’s speech was exceptional, but there was one I loved, the speech delivered by Vice Presidential nominee Gov Palin.

Gov. Palin nailed her speech tonight!  I thought it was incredible, especially since I had never heard of Gov. Palin before this week.  Funny, articulate, and well delivered.

I am now watching the “Major” news networks and they are shredding Palin’s speech in many aspects.  I don’t understand why these anchors can’t just keep their personal opinions to themselves.  I am glad you love the “other” candidate, but let me make up my own mind without your two cents. As a matter of fact, all your criticism is further helping me make up my mind, but I digress.

I look forward to Sen. McCain’s speech tomorrow.

At the risk of changing my mind later, and being called a “flip-flop” supporter… and since my in-laws have been saying I was always on this bandwagon (even when I wasn’t). I now put forth my early, not firm (but in the wet cement that’s quickly drying), and worthless endorsement for:

MCCAIN
