I love Matt Duchene when he’s on the ice for the Colorado Avalanche, but he’s pissing me off right now. Come on Team USA! via Facebook

What the???? Just saw this guy and this kid walking their tortoise down the street. I didn’t have a camera near by or I would have definitely taken a picture. Not something you see everyday. via Facebook

It is official. The boy fractured his foot. Will take at least six weeks to heal. Benched from X-country for at least two weeks and depending on how it’s healing we’ll go from there. via Facebook

I know there’s still a game going on but here’s my take on NFL opening weekend.
Biggest winners: A) Oakland Raiders that two point conversion was either the stupidest play I’ve ever seen, or pure genius. Either way it paid off.
B) President’s Obama and Bush – I don’t agree with everything either of these guys say or do, but their pregame addresses we’re wonderful.
Biggest losers: A) The NFL for banning pro US apparel because it violates NFL uniform policies. Guess NFL freedom of speech only applies to disrespectful kneeling and raising your fist.
B) NBC, CBS and FOX. In all fairness I don’t know if all three networks did this. But what was the point of zooming and showing the “protesting” players? It’s Patriots Day and rather than focusing on the 3,000 American families that lost loved ones on 9/11, or the thousands of military families who lost loved ones since, you choose to focus on the less than 1% who want to be disrespectful trying to make a point. Though, personally don’t know what that point is anymore.
This will probably be the last I say anything about the NFL for awhile. No I’m not boycotting the NFL. Just because I disagree with a handful of players doesn’t mean I hate the NFL. I mean that’s like thinking all cops are bad because of a few incidents. Oh sorry bad example. But, I don’t think I’ll be watching the games on TV. I’ll stick to the radio until I can watch the game without wanting to vomit. via Facebook
