Postgame Alert

Much different looking Rockies team tonight. Still need to step it up a notch

or two if they are going to win a game here in the Series.

Boston Fans much more lively tonight. They must have read my entry from

yesterday. 🙂

YAWN!

Well I decided not to be petty nor a fair weather fan and watch the World Series tonight. I wish I hadn’t… What were the Rockies doing tonight? What has the pitching staff been doing the last 8 days… Practicing pitching on the Wii? Looking more like the Rockies that I saw beat by the Colorado Springs Sky Sox earlier this year, I could not believe I was watching a Championship game. I don’t know who has been more painful to watch; the Rockies getting their Gluteus Maximus (probably not spelled right) waxed or the most boring fans in Pro sports history. Hey Boston your team is in the World Series… You are creaming us…and all FOX can show us is some kid having what looks like a spasm… You could get a little pumped up… Well Rockies you now have something in common with the Bronco’s… Both of you have had embarrassing losses this month.

By the way, in case you live in a cave… Final Score Sox 13, Rocks 1

Also for those of you not at the previous mentioned Rockies/SkySox game… March 30, 2007… Rockies 3, SkySox 5

Ticketgate 2007

I’ve calmed down a bit from yesterday. You know I wasn’t upset yesterday at not getting a ticket. I never expected to get one. It was the Rockies response that had me furious. The below story is a good representation of what I saw yesterday. Even today I have not seen anything official from the Rockies Administration on this.

Can you believe it?

I am listening to 850 KOA and folks are calling stating they got on the Rockies ticket website numerous times… One guy said he bought 24 tickets even though there was supposedly a four ticket limit. Again, disgraceful! Thanks to Lois Melkonian of “the Ride Home” on 850 KOA for sending me a nice e-mail after I wrote to 850 KOA with my frustration of them letting these folks who got on six times and bought 24 ticket to get on the air to gloat…By the way she didn’t get tickets either… Sorry Lois.

ROCKIES what the @#%$

O.K. not one to usually vent, but, I have to say what a disappointment the Rockies on-line sale fiasco was. Over Four hours on the Rockies site in the last two days and I couldn’t even “get in” to buy a single ticket. All I got to do was stare at a site with a line stating “To improve your ticket-buying experience and to make it as pleasant as possible, this site permits entry to a limited number of patrons at a time.” Watching the countdown clock get to 1 for the 1,000 time and then watching my computer freeze forever (thinking I finally got in) and then getting a site timeout error time and time again… Then having to start all over again at the “back of the line. Well Rockies, my ticket buying experience wasn’t improved or pleasant!

The most frustrating part I think, was listening to the Rockies spokesperson lying all day…stating “everything is working fine… the site is just slow”… And me sitting here thinking B.S.! I have been kicked off the site some 12 times today alone… Losing my “place in line” and staring at this stupid “waiting room” screen… This was supposed to be “the fairest way” of getting tickets to the fans but it failed miserably. The mere fact that it took two and a half hours to “sell out” proves the site was not working properly. I never expected to get a ticket… as a matter of fact I expected them all to be gone in about 15 minutes… but this was definitely the not “most fair” way to distribute these tickets.

Now I am listening the spokesman live saying “for those of you that couldn’t get tickets we feel for you” what a crock… You don’t feel for us… It’s just money to you. I hate to say this has diminished my “fanship” for this team, but I think it has… I historically have not been a huge fan of “pro” sports to begin with… I think most players are overpaid crybabies… But I have to admit I really liked this team this year. Watching a few of these player grow here locally with the SkySox, had given me a new appreciation of the game.

Well guys… I really did enjoy being at the Championship games… It was great watching how much my son actully enjoyed the games and how he actually sat and watched every minute (tough for 8 year old at 10:00 in the freezing rain). But right now I don’t know if I even care about the World Series with the Rockies in it. I guess next year it will be back to the Sky Sox… at least they’ve never let the fans down… Or lied to us… The system worked fine… what a crock…
