Hello everyone! Did you have a good day? My day was pretty hectic.
Stared out with one of the sites I manage (http://cspack225.org) crashing hard. It wouldn’t work at all. Turned out one of the tables in my SQL database had been corrupted and I had to rebuild it.
You say you don’t know what a table in a SQL database is… well don’t feel bad, I didn’t either. So it took a bit of “on the job” training to figure out what was wrong and fix it. The site is back up and running for the most part. The photo gallery is still broken and it doesn’t appear I’ll be able to fix it. That’s the third time in two years that portion of the site had gone down, I think I’ll have to come up with a better alternative.
Off to tonight… “the boy” was trying to keep us busy tonight with three events all scheduled for the same time, or at least close to each other; Flag football practice, a chess tournament, and a Cub Scout Pack meeting. We decided to skip football and juggle time between chess and the Pack Meeting. Both these event were in the school so it worked out pretty well.
I was impressed with the boy as he’d go play chess and then attend the meeting in between rounds. Even doing that he placed 1st in the 4th and 5th grade division.
The Pack meeting went well … A detective from CSPD visited and he brought a little toy. The $250,000 BATMobile (only one of three in the entire state) for us to play on. I think the boys enjoyed it.
