Slow day today not much to report. Only highlight was a three hour chess tournament (Yawn). Boy did come in third tonight in the 4-6 grade category.

Tonight we were going to go see Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull on Peterson AFB, but I forgot. Too bad everything was free, the movie, the popcorn, the soda. Instead I worked around the house, made some dinner, and went to Target. The movie would have been more fun I think. Oh well, always next time.
Sky Sox Unveil New Brand Identity
In a press conference held today at Security Service Field, the Colorado Springs Sky Sox unveiled the team’s new brand identity system which includes newly designed logos, colors and uniforms. The new designs feature the patriotic colors of red, white and blue and the new primary logo for the team is based around Pikes Peak, the landmark mountain of Colorado Springs. The graphic work for the brand identity was designed by Dan Simon of Studio Simon in Louisville, KY.

El Paso County Commissioner Visit
Tonight we took the Pack 225 Webelos I and II boys (4th and 5th grade) down the El Paso County Office to learn a bit about how local government works. Thanks to Commissioner Amy Lathen (Official Website/Election Website) for conducting the tour, and thanks to (soon to be Colorado State Representative) Mark Waller (Election Website) for arranging the trip for us.

Religious Emblem
Today we spent the most of our time at the Corpis Christ Catholic School working on “the Boys” religious emblem for Cub Scouts. We completed the God and Family program. A bit drier than the God and me program we did last year, but I am sure the boy learned something
