If you were a young guy growing up in Denver “back in the day” you probably remember going to Denver Bears baseball games at Bears Stadium (later named Mile High Stadium in 1968, but I still remember it being called Bears Stadium while I was growing up). This was the only game in town and I remember the big July 4th games. I was sitting at the NLCS Game 3 and a few folks and I began talking about the Bears with a few other folks. Though many remembered the Bears (and later the Denver Zephyrs) no one really knew what happened to them. Well the team is still alive, if not in Denver.
