Did you know there was another team named the Colorado Rockies? Maybe too many folks have moved here from other states but when I tell most of them I used to go to Rockies game in the 80’s they rarely believe me. After all the current Rockies weren’t even a team , how could they have played in the 80’s? Well folks they were a hockey team in the NHL and they really played in Denver. Playing in the now demolished McNichols Sports Arena they played from 1976-1982 and I remember going to many games with my Dad and my Uncle Val. More info at wikipedia can be read this here.
